Managing Counter Parties in Contract Management

View and manage all external parties you have signed contracts with, and organise them by company.

Overview

The Counter Parties section gives you a centralised view of every external party involved in your contracts. When a contract is sent for e-signing, the external party's details are automatically saved here. You can view their linked contracts, assign them to organisations, and filter the list to find specific parties quickly.

How to Access Counter Parties

  1. Click on Resources from the left-hand navigation bar.

  2. Click on Counter Parties.

The Counter Parties List

The Counter Parties page displays a table with the following columns:

Column

Description

Name

The name of the external party. If they have been assigned to an organisation, the organisation name appears as a tag below their name.

Contract Details

The email address of the external party and the date of their most recent contract activity.

Association

The association linked to this party.

Live Contract

The number of currently active contracts with this party.

Expired Contracts

The number of expired contracts with this party.

Action

View icon to see all contracts linked to this party.

Viewing Linked Contracts

  1. Locate the counter party in the list.

  2. Click the view (eye) icon in the Action column.

  3. A Linked Contracts panel will open showing all contracts associated with that party, including the Contract Title, Requester, and Stage of each contract.

  4. Click any contract title to open the full contract details.

Adding an Organisation

Use this to assign a counter party to an existing organisation or create a new one.

  1. Click the Add Organization button in the top-right corner.

  2. The Add Organization panel will open, showing a list of existing organisations. Use the Search Organization field to find a specific one.

  3. To assign an existing organisation, click the edit (pencil) icon next to the organisation name and follow the prompts.

  4. To create a new organisation, click Create New, fill in the required details, and submit.

Assigning Organisations in Bulk

1. Click the Bulk Edit button in the top-right corner. Checkboxes will appear next to each counter party in the list.

2. Tick the checkboxes next to the counter parties you want to assign to an organisation.

3. Click Assign Organization in the top-right corner.

4. Select the organisation you want to assign them to and confirm.

5. Click Cancel to exit Bulk Edit mode without making changes.

Filtering Counter Parties

  1. Click the Filter icon in the top-right corner.

  2. The Filters panel will open. You can filter by: Name, Organisation Name, Email Address, Priority, and Phone Number.

  3. Fill in the relevant fields and click Submit to apply the filters.

  4. Click Reset to clear all filters and return to the full list.

Downloading the List

Click the Download icon in the top-right corner to export the full list of counter parties.

Conclusion

The Counter Parties section gives you a clear record of every external party across your contracts and their current contract activity. Assigning parties to organisations makes it easier to group and track contractual relationships at the company level.
