The new user interface (UI) offers an enhanced search option, allowing users to efficiently locate their Intellectual Property (IP) information using various criteria such as application numbers, trademark names, proprietor names, and more. Follow the steps below to utilize this feature effectively:

Accessing the Search Bar

  • Locate the Search Bar:

- The search bar is prominently positioned at the top of the interface for easy access.

Conducting a Search

  • Enter specific details into the search bar, such as:

    • Application Number

    • Trademark Name

    • Proprietor Name

  • Execute the Search:

    • Press the 'Enter' key or choose the suggested option provided by the tool based on the entered search words.

    • The system will display relevant results based on the entered criteria.

Public Search: A Comprehensive Guide

Public Search allows users to access publicly available information regarding various IP categories without requiring special permissions or credentials.

Process for Conducting a Public Search

  • Initiate Public Search:

    • Click on the “Search IP India Database” toggle button to begin.

  • Select Search Category:

    • You can perform searches related to the following categories:

    • Trademarks: Search for registered trademarks and related information.

    • Patents: Access details on filed and granted patents.

    • Copyrights: Find information on registered copyrights.

    • Designs: Look up registered designs.

    • Weekly Published Trademarks Journal: Review the weekly journal for trademarks

    • Trademarks and Patent Cause list: View the cause lists for trademarks and patents.

By following these instructions, you can efficiently locate the IP information you need without additional assistance. This streamlined process ensures that you have access to comprehensive and up-to-date information at your fingertips.
