The Logo Search feature lets you check the similarity between logos by uploading your desired logo for comparison. The system analyses the uploaded logo using AI-based image matching and generates a detailed report listing all visually similar logos found in the IP India database.

How It Works

Step 1: Navigate to IP India Search

  • From the left-hand navigation bar, click on the IP India icon.

  • This will open the IP India Search page, which gives you access to various search tools including TM Search, TM Journals, Patent Search, Copyright Search, and more.

Step 2: Open Logo Search

  • On the IP India Search page, click on the Logo Search card.

  • The card is described as: Upload a logo and discover visually similar marks using intelligent AI-based image matching.

Step 3: Upload Your Logo

  • You will land on the upload page under IP India Search.

  • Drag and drop your logo file into the upload area, or click Browse to select the file from your device.

  • The maximum supported file size is 200 MB.

Step 4: Initiate the Search

  • Once the logo is uploaded, the tool will begin processing it automatically.

  • The system will scan the IP India database and generate a list of visually similar logos.

Step 5: Receive the Results

  • A PDF report containing the list of similar logos will be generated.

  • The report will be sent to your registered email address for review.

Conclusion

The Logo Search feature saves significant time by automating what would otherwise be a manual and time-consuming search process. It is especially useful before filing a new trademark, as it helps you assess the risk of visual similarity conflicts early on. By using this feature regularly, you can make more informed decisions about your brand identity and protect your intellectual property more effectively.
