In this article: You will get the detailed step by step guide on how Legistify’s CLM package can be installed and integrated with your Salesforce, streamlining your contract creation process. Currently, the package is not listed on AppExchange. Installation will be done using a direct installation URL.
Before You Start Installing:
Make sure you have access to your company's admin account and all relevant rights to install the package
Your organisation is on Salesforce Enterprise or above package
If you are on the Pro package, your account will have to be API enabled
Check in with your Legistify account manager regarding your Legistify CLM account setup and template automation
Step 1: Access the Installation URL
Open the following installation link in your browser:
Note: This link will redirect you to the Salesforce login page if you are not already authenticated. You can install the same package in your sandbox environment for UAT or otherwise directly to your production environment
Step 2: Authenticate with Salesforce
After opening the URL:
1. You will be prompted to log in to your Salesforce Org
2. Enter your Salesforce credentials and click Log In
Step 3: Review Package Installation Details
Once logged in:
1. You will see the Package Installation Details page
2. It will display package information like Package Name, Publisher, Version, etc.
Step 4: Choose Installation Options
On the Package Installation Details page, you need to select who should have access to the installed package components. Choose "All users" option. after selecting the option, tick the checkbox and hit continue
Step 5: Wait for Installation to Complete
Installation may take a few minutes.
Once installation is complete, you will receive a confirmation message.
Post completion press "Done"
Step 6: Verify the Installation
You can verify that the package has been installed successfully by following these steps:
1. Go to Setup in Salesforce
2. Navigate to Installed Packages
3. You will find Legistify Contract Management listed there
Notes:
If the installation takes longer, Salesforce might send an email notification once the installation is complete
In case of any errors, review installation logs for troubleshooting or contact your account manager
Step 7: Create a Connected App
In Salesforce, click on the Gear Icon (⚙️) at the top left and select Setup.
In the Quick Find/Search box, search for App Manager.
Click on App Manager.
On the top right, click on New Connected App.
After clicking, a new page to create a Connected App will open. Click Continue if prompted.
Step 8: Fill Connected App Details
On the New Connected App creation page:
Fill out the basic app details like Connected App Name, API Name, Contact Email, etc.
Scroll to the API (Enable OAuth Settings) section.
Check the checkbox for Enable OAuth Settings.
After enabling OAuth:
In Callback URL >> https://login.salesforce.com
In Selected OAuth Scopes, add:
Full Access (full)
Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
Save the Connected App.
Note: It may take a few minutes for the Connected App to be created.
Step 9: Get Client ID and Client Secret
Again, go to App Manager.
Find your newly created Connected App.
On the right side, click the Dropdown arrow next to your app.
Click on View.
5. Scroll down to the API (Enable OAuth Settings) section and click Manage Consumer Details.
6. You will receive an OTP on your registered email. Enter the OTP.
7. You will now see your Client ID and Client Secret.
Step 10: Create User-Specific Metadata(Only For System Admin Or Integration User)
Each user must have their own metadata record (but use the same Client ID and Client Secret).
Go to Setup > Search for Custom Metadata Types.
Find Legistify Setup custom metadata type.
Click Manage Records next to Legistify Setup.
The Name of record would be System Admin
5. After Clicking on Manager Record Please Click on New Button
NOTE : Make Sure Integration user or system admin Password policy configured as shown below image
Setup >> user > select integration User Click on his profile > click on Edit button >> on Profile page in password Policy Section
6. Fill the metadata details carefully and Save.
Note:
Client ID and Client Secret will remain the same for all users.
Only need to create System Admin or Integration User Record
Step 12: How to Get Salesforce Security Token (Salesforce Secret Key)
To find your Salesforce Security Token:
Click on the Avatar (View Profile) icon next to the Bell icon.
Click on Settings.
Under My Personal Information, click Reset My Security Token.
Click the Reset Security Token button.
You will receive the token on your registered email.
Step 13: Enable OAuth Settings in Salesforce Org
Go to Setup.
Search for OAuth and OpenID Connect Settings.
Enable the option: Allow OAuth Username-Password Flows.
Step 14: Add Legistify Component on Opportunity Record Page
Go to App Launcher (🔍) and search for Opportunity.
Open any Opportunity record.
On the Opportunity record page, click the Gear Icon (⚙️) and select Edit Page.
Drag and drop the Legistify_Component (from the list of Custom Components) above the Related Lists section.
Save and Activate the page.
Important Notes:
Without proper OAuth and Metadata configuration, the package features will not work correctly
After installing the package, your account manager will help you test the workflow as per your company account created on Legistify CLM
