In this article: You will get the instructions to identify key meta data from Salesforce opportunity fields that will be required for template workflow automation.
Before You Start:
Make sure you have access to your company's admin account and all relevant rights
Your organisation is on Salesforce Enterprise or above package
If you are on the Pro package, your account will have to be API enabled
Check in with your Legistify account manager regarding your Legistify CLM user creation
You should be clear on the templates you would like to automate in Legistify CLM and are clear on the fields that would be required for such templates
Step 1. Go to Salesforce Setup
Log in to Salesforce.
Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner.
Select "Setup".
Step 2. Open Object Manager
In the Setup search bar, type: "Object Manager".
Click on it and select "Opportunity" from the list.
Step 3. Fields & Relationships Section
On the Opportunity object page, click on the "Fields & Relationships" tab.
Here you will see a list of all fields – both Standard and Custom.
Click any field to view its details (Label, API Name, Data Type, Relationship, etc.).
Note: For automating your contract drafts, we will be needing "Field Name" and its correct location on the agreement draft word file.

Step 4. Understanding Relationships
Lookup Relationship: When a field is linked to another object.
Master-Detail Relationship: The existence of the dependent record depends on the master record.
Step 5. Schema Builder (Alternative Visualization)
In the Setup search bar, type "Schema Builder".
Open Schema Builder and select "Opportunity".
You will see a visual diagram with all relationships.
