What are Codex Artifacts?
Codex Artifacts are a side workspace inside Codex where drafts open as fully formatted, usable documents instead of plain text responses.
When you generate a draft, it can be opened in the Artifact panel, allowing you to:
View the document in a clean, formatted layout
Edit content directly within Codex
Continue refining it using AI
This removes the need to move content between tools and keeps your workflow in one place.
Why use Codex Artifacts?
Drafting typically involves multiple steps—generating content, copying it into another tool, editing it, and repeating the process.
Codex Artifacts eliminates this gap by allowing you to:
Work directly on documents within Codex
Make updates without switching tools
Maintain context across iterations
Improve drafts quickly using AI
This makes drafting faster, more structured, and easier to manage.
How Codex Artifacts work
Artifacts are created when you generate a structured draft in Codex.
