Understanding Escalations

The Escalation setting allows users to create multi-level escalation metrics for any contract template in CMT. Users can view, edit, duplicate, and toggle the status of existing escalations, providing flexibility in managing contract-related tasks.

Steps to Set Up Escalations

  • Access Settings

    • Navigate to the "Settings" menu to begin the process.

  • Go to Escalations

    • Click on "Escalations" to access the list of all existing escalations. Here, you can manage current settings by turning them on or off using the toggle switch, or by editing or duplicating them.

  • Add New Escalation

    • Click on "Add Escalation" to start creating a new escalation metric.

  • Select Contract Template

    • Choose the contract template to which the escalation will apply. This ensures the escalation is relevant to the specific type of contract.

  • Choose Escalation Type

    • Select the type of escalation you want to set up. This could be based on different criteria such as task deadlines, approval stages, or other contract-related actions.

  • Define Escalation Levels:

    • Set up single / multiple levels of escalation to ensure that tasks are handled appropriately if not completed within a specified timeframe.

  • Assign Escalation Recipients:

    • Determine who will be notified at each escalation level. This could include managers, department heads, or other relevant personnel.

  • Save and Activate:

    • After configuring the escalation details, click "Submit" to finalize the setup.

    • Toggle the escalation "On" to activate it, ensuring it is operational and ready to enforce the escalation metrics.

Features and Functionality

  • Multi-Level Escalation: Create multiple layers of escalation to manage tasks effectively.

  • Flexible Management: Edit, duplicate, or deactivate escalations as needed.

  • Targeted Escalations: Apply escalations to specific contract templates for tailored contract management.
