Written by Akshat Singhal

Overview

The Company Signatories setting lets you define and manage the authorised signatories for each contract template. You can assign default signatories who are always included, and set up conditional signatories that are assigned based on specific contract field values.

How to Access Company Signatories

1. Click on Settings from the left-hand navigation bar.

2. Click on User Management.

3. Select the Company Signatories tab.

This opens the Company Signatories list, which displays all contract templates alongside their assigned default signatories. Use the Search by template name bar to find a specific template quickly.

Viewing Signatories

Each template row shows the Default Signatories assigned to it as avatar icons. Click the View (eye) icon in the Actions column to see the full list of signatories assigned to a specific template.

Editing Signatories

Click the Edit (pencil) icon in the Actions column to update the signatories for a template. This opens an edit page with two tabs:

Default Signatories

The Default Signatories tab lets you add or remove the standard signatories for the template.

  • The currently assigned signatories appear as tags at the top of the panel

  • Click the dropdown to search for and add users from your organisation

  • Click the ร— next to a user's tag to remove them

  • Click Save to apply the changes, or Cancel to discard them

Conditional Signatories

The Conditional Signatories tab lets you set up workflows where specific signatories are assigned based on conditions evaluated against the contract's meta field values.

Each workflow has a condition builder with the following options:

  • Field: select the contract meta field to evaluate

  • Operator: choose Less Than, Equal To, or Greater Than

  • Value: enter the value to compare against

  • And: add additional conditions to the same workflow using the And connector

  • Add Signatories: select the signatories to assign when the conditions are met

Click Add Condition to add more condition rows within the same workflow.

Click Save Condition to save the workflow.

Conclusion

Keeping company signatories up to date on each template ensures that the right people are always in the signing queue when a contract is initiated. Using conditional signatories adds an additional layer of flexibility, allowing signatory assignments to change automatically based on the specifics of each contract without requiring manual intervention each time.
