Post-Contract Execution Actions Guide

A step-by-step guide to managing contracts after execution, including how to renew, amend, and terminate contracts directly from the platform.

Overview

Once a contract has been executed, you can take further action on it depending on your requirements. The platform supports three post-execution actions — Renew, Amend, and Terminate — all accessible directly from the executed contract's details page.

Accessing Post-Execution Actions

  1. Navigate to the Repository from the left-hand navigation bar.

  2. Filter the contract list by clicking the Executed tab to locate your contract.

  3. Click on the contract to open its details page.

  4. At the top right of the page, you will see three action buttons: Renew Contract, Amend Contract, and Terminate Contract.

Renewing a Contract

Click Renew Contract to open the Start Renewal Process panel. Select one of the two options:

Use New Template Select this if you want to renew the contract using a different template. This is useful when your organisation has an updated template for renewals.

  • You will be directed to the Add New page

  • Select the contract type and template

  • Fill in the updated details and submit the form

  • The renewed contract will be linked to the original in the Contract Trail section

Re-Use Current Template Select this if you want to re-sign the same contract again. The new contract will follow exactly the same format as the Master Agreement.

  • The existing template form will open with the current details pre-filled

  • Update the necessary details for the renewal and submit the form

  • Both the original and renewed contracts will be visible in the Contract Trail section

Click Start Renewal to proceed with the selected option.

Amending a Contract

Click Amend Contract to open the Start Amendment Process panel. Select one of the two options:

Use New Template Select this if your organisation uses a different template for amendments.

  • You will be directed to the Add New page

  • Select the contract type and template

  • Fill in the updated details and submit the form

  • The amended contract will be linked to the original in the Contract Trail section

Re-Use Current Template Select this to amend the contract using the same template as the original. The amended contract will follow the Master Agreement format.

  • The existing template form will open

  • Update the necessary details for the amendment and submit the form

  • Both the original and amended contracts will be visible in the Contract Trail section

Click Start Amendment to proceed with the selected option.

Terminating a Contract

Click Terminate Contract to open the Start Termination Process panel. Select one of the two options:

Same as Expiry Date Terminates the contract automatically on its expiry date.

Other Date Terminates the contract on a custom date of your choosing.

Fill in the following fields:

  • Intimation Date (required): the date on which the termination notice is being initiated

  • Reason for Termination (required): state the reason for terminating the contract

  • Upload Supporting Document: attach any relevant documents to support the termination

  • Send Termination Letter: tick this checkbox if you want a termination letter to be sent as part of the process

Click Submit to complete the termination.

Once terminated, the contract will move to the Archived section.

Conclusion

Post-execution actions allow you to manage the full lifecycle of a contract without starting from scratch each time. Renewing and amending contracts through the platform keeps all related versions linked in the Contract Trail for easy reference. Terminating contracts with the correct intimation date and supporting documents ensures a clear record of how and why a contract was closed out.
