Overview
The in-built editor allows you to edit contracts directly within the platform while collaborating with your team in real time. It is powered by OnlyOffice and includes a dedicated Collaboration tab that brings together all the tools your team needs like track changes, comments, chat, version history, and more ensuring a smooth and transparent editing process from start to finish.
Track Changes
Track Changes allows every edit made to the document to be recorded and attributed to the person who made it, giving your team full visibility over all modifications.
Enable Track Changes to start recording all edits made within the document.
Use Display Mode to control how tracked changes appear. Choose to show all changes inline, show the final version, or show the original version.
Use Previous and Next to navigate through each tracked change in the document one by one.
Once reviewed, use Accept to approve a change or Reject to discard it. You can also accept or reject all changes at once using the dropdown options.
Compare and Combine
These features are useful when multiple versions of the same contract exist and need to be reconciled.
Compare allows you to compare the current document with another version to identify differences between the two.
Combine merges edits from multiple versions of the document into a single unified version, making it easier to consolidate feedback from different reviewers.
Comments
Comments allow team members to leave feedback, raise concerns, or flag specific clauses without directly editing the contract text.
Click Add Comment to attach a comment to a specific section or clause within the contract.
Mention a team member by typing + or @ followed by their name to notify them directly and draw their attention to the comment.
Once a comment has been addressed, use Resolve to mark it as closed or Delete to remove it entirely.
All comments can be viewed in the comments panel, making it easy to track outstanding and resolved discussions.
Chat
The built-in Chat feature allows team members to communicate with each other in real time without leaving the editor. This is especially useful for quick discussions during the editing process, eliminating the need to switch between tools or platforms.
Version History
Version History gives your team a complete record of all saved versions of the document, providing a reliable safety net throughout the editing process.
Access Version History to view a chronological list of all previous versions of the document.
Click on any version to preview it and compare it against the current state of the document.
Restore any previous version if needed, ensuring that no changes are permanently lost.
Conclusion
The in-built editor brings all collaboration tools including track changes, comments, chat, and version history into one place, making it easier for teams to work together and keep contracts accurate and up to date.
