Overview
The Legistify MS Word Add-in brings AI-powered contract intelligence directly into your Microsoft Word desktop application. Once installed, it appears as a sidebar panel inside Word, giving you access to Legistify's AI features without leaving your document. The Add-in has been fully revamped with a new Skills Home experience, redesigned tools, and improved navigation across all features.
Skills Home
The Add-in opens to a new Skills Home screen featuring a "What's on your mind?" prompt area and quick-access skill shortcuts: Playbook, Obligations, Clauses, Summary, Library, and Approval. A fixed Ask input sits at the bottom of the panel for immediate use.
Sending a prompt from the home screen automatically opens Ask Legistify AI with your prompt carried over, so you never have to retype.
Suggested Questions
When you click into the home composer, the welcome section is hidden and a set of Suggested Questions appears. These are pre-built prompts based on common contract review tasks. Selecting a suggested question or submitting your own prompt opens Ask Legistify AI with that prompt pre-loaded and ready to run.
Ask Legistify AI
The Ask Legistify AI experience has been fully redesigned with a new prompt composer including an input field, send button, attachment menu, and AI model picker.

A simplified header with a Back button replacing the old Close button
Support for loading and viewing previous conversations
Responses now stream live with an improved loader and enhanced markdown rendering
Clause Approval
The Clause Approval section has been redesigned to clearly display clause number, approval levels, and status for each item in the list. The New Approval and Start Approval actions have been updated for improved visibility.

Summarise
Existing summaries are now reused instead of being regenerated automatically, saving time and AI credits. The model ID submission has been simplified to use the default AI service model. Result title and heading presentation has also been improved.
Identify Key Clauses
The result title and heading display has been refined for clarity. The header and Back button have been updated to match the new plugin experience across all sections.
Obligations
Result title and heading presentation has been improved for consistency. The header and Back button have been updated to align with the rest of the plugin.

Improved guide list layout and Run button placement
Redesigned guide details page with rule cards, rule numbering, and delete actions
Updated Save Guide and Add Rule footer layout

With the new Skills Home, redesigned tools, streaming AI responses, and Auto Redline in the Playbook, legal teams can work faster and more accurately without leaving their document.
