Before You Start:

  1. Make sure you have access to your company's admin account and all relevant rights

  2. Check in with your Legistify account manager regarding your Legistify CLM user creation

  3. You should be clear on the templates you would like to automate in Legistify CLM and are clear on the fields that would be required for such templates

Step 1: Navigate to Settings:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings gear icon (βš™οΈ) in the top right navigation bar

Step 2: Go to Properties:

  • In the left sidebar menu of the settings, navigate to Properties

Step 3: Select "Deal properties":

  • On the "Properties" page, you'll see a dropdown menu labeled "Select an object."

  • Click this dropdown and choose "Deal properties"

Step 4: View the List:

  • You will now see a comprehensive list of all deal properties in your account. This list includes:

    • Property Label: The user-friendly name displayed in the CRM.

    • Internal Name: The API name (crucial for developers, as this is what you'll use in API calls). You can usually see this by hovering over the property or clicking "Edit."

    • Field Type: (e.g., Single-line text, Number, Dropdown select, Date picker).

    • Group: The category the property belongs to (e.g., "Deal information," "Amount information").

    • Used In: Indicates where the property is being used (e.g., forms, workflows).

  • You can use the search bar and filters (by group, field type, etc.) to narrow down the list.

Step 5: View Property Details:

  • To see more details about a specific property (like its description, available options for dropdowns, or whether it's a default HubSpot property), hover over the property in the list and click "Edit".
