Legistify’s AI-powered Translate Case Files feature helps legal teams work across languages by translating case documents between regional languages and English. This ensures clear understanding, accurate interpretation, and smoother collaboration.
How to Translate Case Files
The Translate Case Files feature helps you understand legal documents across languages by providing accurate, AI-powered translations. Follow the steps below to translate a document:
1. Navigate to My Cases
From your dashboard, navigate to the "My Cases" section.
2. Select or Search for the Relevant Case
Choose the specific case you wish to work on from the list, or use the search bar to find the relevant case.
3. Access the Case Details Page
Clicking on the case will take you to its dedicated Case Details Page.
4. Use Ask AI on the Case Page
The Ask AI section is available by default on the case details page.
5. Select Translate Case Files
Within Ask AI, choose the Translate Case Files option from the available actions.
6. Choose the Language
Select the language you want to translate the document into. Available options include English, Hindi, and other supported regional languages.
7. Select the Document to Translate
Choose the document you want to translate from the case files.
8. View the Translated Document
The AI processes the selected document and displays the translated version directly on your screen.
Understanding Your AI-Translated Document
The AI-translated document provides an accurate and contextually relevant translation of the original content. This feature is specifically designed with legal terminology in mind, aiming to maintain the integrity and meaning of legal phrasing. You can expect:
Accurate Translation: The content will be translated into your chosen language, preserving the original meaning as much as possible.

Additional Features on the Translated Document Panel
Once your document is translated, you will notice two additional helpful buttons on the top right part of the panel: Regenerate Translation and Download.
1. Regenerate Translation
The "Regenerate Translation" button allows you to re-run the AI translation process for the selected document. This is useful if you believe the initial translation could be improved, or if there were any minor updates to the original document. Clicking this button ensures you receive the most accurate and refined translation.
2. Download
The "Download" button enables you to export the entire AI-translated document for offline access or sharing. This feature is invaluable for record-keeping, sharing translated content with colleagues, or using it in external communications. The translated document is typically downloaded as a PDF or text file.
