Overview
AI Obligations helps users quickly identify and extract obligations from a contract using AI. Instead of manually reviewing the document to locate responsibilities or commitments, the system scans the contract and highlights all obligations in a structured format.
This makes it easier to understand key responsibilities defined in the agreement and ensures that important obligations are clearly visible during contract review.
AI Obligations can be accessed either through the Ask AI panel within a contract or directly from the contract editor while reviewing or editing the document.
Method 1: Extract Obligations Using Ask AI
This method allows you to quickly extract obligations directly from the contract view.
Step 1: Open the Contract
Navigate to the contract repository and select the contract you want to review.
Click on the contract to open its details page.
Step 2: Open Ask AI
Within the contract interface, click on Ask AI.
This will open the AI panel with various AI-powered actions related to the contract.
Step 3: Select Extract Obligations
From the available options, select Extract Obligations.
Step 4: Review Extracted Obligations
The system will analyze the contract and display all obligations identified within the document.
These obligations are presented in a structured format to make it easier to review key responsibilities defined in the agreement.
Method 2: Extract Obligations from the Contract Editor
This method allows you to view obligations while reviewing or editing the contract draft.
Step 1: Open the Contract
Navigate to the contract you want to review within the repository.
Step 2: Click on Edit Draft
Select Edit Draft to open the contract in editing mode.
Step 3: Choose the Editing Mode
Select one of the available editing options:
Office Only, or
MS Word
The contract document will open in the selected editor.
Step 4: Open the Obligations Panel
Within the document editor, locate and select Obligations from the left-side panel.
Step 5: Review Extracted Obligations
The system will display all obligations identified in the contract. This allows users to easily review the responsibilities and commitments defined in the document while editing or reviewing the draft.
