Legistify’s AI-powered “Ask Questions on This Case” feature solves this by allowing users to ask natural-language questions related to a case and instantly receive precise, contextual answers derived from the legal documents.

This helps legal teams retrieve crucial information without manually combing through pages of content—improving accuracy, saving time, and enabling smarter decision-making.


Context

The "Ask Questions on This Case" tool enables users to interact directly with case documents by asking questions. The AI scans the files and delivers answers based on facts, timelines, legal reasoning, and procedural information present within the case.

You can ask a wide range of specific questions, such as:

  • Was the complainant’s lawyer present during the last hearing?

  • What was stated in the order of a specific date?

  • Who presided over the hearing?

  • What relief is the petitioner seeking?

How to Ask Questions on This Case

Follow the steps below to use "Ask Questions on This Case":

  1. Navigate to My Cases
    From your main dashboard, go to the “My Cases” section.

2. Select or Search for the Relevant Case
Locate the desired case using the search bar or from the listed cases.

3. Access the Case Details Page
Click on the case name to enter its dedicated view.

4. Initiate Ask AI
On the right-hand side of the Case Dashboard, find and click on the “Ask AI” button in the actions panel.

5. Choose "Ask Questions on This Case"
From the four available AI options, select "Ask Questions on This Case."

6. Type Your Question
Enter your specific question in the input field and submit.

7. Receive an Answer
The AI will analyze the available documents and respond with a clear, concise answer based on the content.
