Overview
The Pipeline & Approvals dashboard gives you a focused view of contracts currently moving through the workflow — from request to execution. It helps you spot bottlenecks, manage approval queues, and understand how long contracts are spending at each stage, so you can take action to keep the pipeline moving.
Key Metrics
At the top of the dashboard, six summary cards give you an immediate view of your active pipeline:
In Process — Total contracts currently active in the pipeline, shown as a percentage of your portfolio.
In Negotiation — Contracts currently in the negotiation stage, shown as a percentage of the pipeline.
Internal Review — Contracts currently under internal review, shown as a percentage of the pipeline.
Sent for E-sign — Contracts sent for e-signature awaiting completion, shown as a percentage of the pipeline.
Stalled (>14d in stage) — Contracts that have been sitting in the same stage for more than 14 days, shown as a percentage of the pipeline.
Avg. Stage Dwell Time — Mean number of days contracts are spending in their current pipeline stage.
Pipeline by Stage × Template
This table shows the template-wise split of all in-process contracts across the Requested, Internal Review, Negotiation, and Awaiting Sign stages, with a total count per template.
It helps you identify which templates are driving the most pipeline load and which stages they are concentrated in, so you can escalate or prioritise accordingly.
AI insights in this section help you:
Flag templates with contracts stuck in Internal Review for 14 or more days.
Identify the template currently driving the largest pipeline load.
Creation Approvals Queue
This section shows the current load of creation and edit approvals assigned to you, including a breakdown of pending creation/edit approvals and e-sign approvals, along with a queue fill indicator.
It helps you understand your current approval workload and whether any items need to be rerouted to backup approvers.
AI insights in this section help you:
Confirm whether any edit approvals are currently pending.
Approval Age Distribution
This chart shows the aging distribution of pending approvals currently assigned to you, helping you identify approvals that have been waiting too long and may need escalation.
AI insights in this section help you:
Flag the number of approvals currently older than 30 days.
Contract Lifecycle Funnel
This chart shows the stage-wise drop-off of contracts from Requested through to Executed, normalised to a single baseline. Stages shown include Requested, In Review, Negotiation, Awaiting Sign, and Executed, each with a count and conversion percentage.
It helps you understand where contracts are dropping off or stalling in the lifecycle so you can address the biggest stage-to-stage gap and improve request-to-execution conversion.
AI insights in this section help you:
Identify whether the requested stage has enough volume to establish a meaningful conversion baseline.
Avg. Days Spent per Stage × Template
This table shows the average number of days executed contracts spent at each stage — Requested, Internal Review, Negotiation, and Awaiting Sign — broken down by template, with a Total TAT column.
It helps you identify which templates have the longest turnaround times and where in the lifecycle that time is being spent, so you can focus process automation efforts where they will have the most impact.
AI insights in this section help you:
Identify the template with the highest average total TAT in the current view.
Actions You Can Take
Using the Pipeline & Approvals dashboard, you can:
Identify stalled contracts and escalate long-running reviews with a target resolution window.
Reroute low-risk approvals to backup approvers to reduce queue pressure.
Set escalation triggers for approvals older than 14 days to prevent queue ageing.
Address the biggest stage-to-stage drop-off in the lifecycle funnel to improve conversion.
Focus process automation on the highest TAT templates to reduce overall lifecycle time.
Conclusion
The Pipeline & Approvals dashboard gives you a clear, structured view of your active contract pipeline and approval workload. With AI-powered insights surfaced at every widget, it helps you identify bottlenecks early, keep approvals moving, and reduce the time it takes to get contracts from request to execution.
