The AI Extractor uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to scan and process contracts whether created on or off the Legistify platform and makes them fully searchable and organised within the repository.

Verify Details
After the AI Extractor processes a contract, you can review the extracted values using the Verify Details option on the contract details page. This allows you to confirm that the AI has correctly identified and mapped the key fields from the contract.
Verify Details now shows two additional pieces of information for each extracted field:
Confidence Score — the AI's confidence level for the extracted value, indicating how certain the model is about the extraction.
Source Clause — the specific clause or section in the contract from which the value was pulled, so you can cross-check it against the original document.
Auto Verify works the same way — when enabled for your organisation, it automatically saves the extracted values along with the same confidence score and source clause details, ensuring consistency between manual and automated verification.
