Context
Keeping track of copyright details across a large portfolio takes time. The AI Generated Summary feature in Legistify AI gives you an instant, structured overview of a copyright covering its basic details, applicant information, and work details — all in one place without having to read through the full record manually.
How to Generate a Copyright Summary
Step 1: Go to the Copyright Section
From the left-hand navigation bar, click on Copyright.
Step 2: Find the Relevant Copyright
On the copyright listing page, locate the copyright you want to summarise. Use the search bar or scroll through the list to find it by diary number, title, or applicant name.
Step 3: Open the Copyright Details Page
Click on the copyright to open its details page.
Step 4: Access the Legistify AI Panel
The Legistify AI panel is available on the right side of the copyright details page. It opens automatically and displays the AI Generated Summary by default.
Step 5: View the Generated Summary
The AI Generated Summary is displayed at the top of the Legistify AI panel. It provides a concise overview of the copyright's key details instantly.
Understanding Your AI-Generated Copyright Summary
The AI-generated summary extracts and presents the most important information about the copyright. Here is a general overview of what it covers:

Current Status
Applicant Name
2. Applicant Information
Name of the applicant or rights holder

Work category (for example, Computer Software, Artistic, Literary/Dramatic)

Once the summary is displayed, you will find two options at the top of the panel:
Regenerate Summary
Click Regenerate Summary to refresh the summary if the copyright's status or documents have been updated since the last generation. This ensures the summary always reflects the latest available information.
Download
Click Download to export the AI-generated summary as a PDF for offline access or to share with your team or clients.
