Overview

The My Cases section is the central hub for all legal cases your organisation is tracking. It stores both auto-identified and manually added cases in one place, giving you a consolidated view of case numbers, titles, courts, stages, hearing dates, and hearing status.

Accessing My Cases

Click My Cases in the left-hand navigation bar.

Case List View

The My Cases page displays all your cases in a table with the following columns:

  • Case Number -- the unique identifier assigned to the case

  • Title -- the name of the case and parties involved

  • Court -- the court where the case is filed

  • Stage -- the current stage of the case

  • Prev. Date -- the date of the last hearing

  • Next Date -- the date of the next scheduled hearing

  • NDOH Remarks -- remarks associated with the next date of hearing

  • Hearing Status -- indicates whether a hearing is scheduled for today or upcoming

  • Action -- quick access to Ask AI for that case

The Ask AI option in the Action column now draws from cross-workspace context including your Vault files, Projects, Styles, and Attachments, giving you richer and more contextually accurate responses for each case.

Case Status Tabs

Use the tabs at the top of the page to filter cases by status:

  • All -- displays every case in your tracker

  • Ongoing -- displays cases that are currently active

  • Disposed -- displays cases that have been closed or disposed of

  • Archive -- displays cases that have been archived

  • City Names -- filters cases by city

  • + View -- create and save custom views

Auto and Manual Cases

Cases in My Cases are stored in two ways:

Auto

Cases identified by the system through your keyword groups and added from the New Cases section. These receive automatic updates from court records.

Manual

Cases added by you directly, such as labour cases, PLA cases, and FSSAI cases, or cases where online court systems are not functioning. Manual cases do not receive automatic updates unless mapped to a system-identified case.

Filter

Click the filter icon at the top right of the table to narrow down your cases list.

  1. Select a filter attribute from the Where dropdown.

  2. Choose IS or IS NOT to define the condition.

  3. Enter the value to filter by.

  4. Click Add Filters to apply additional conditions, or Reset Filters to clear all filters.

  5. Click Show Results to update the list.

Generate Report

Click the download icon at the top right of the table to export your cases list. Select either PDF or Excel. The report will be sent to your registered email address and is valid for 24 hours.

Explore With Codex

Click Explore With Codex at the top right of the page to run AI-powered queries across your cases, such as identifying dormant cases, upcoming hearings, or stuck matters.

Case Lifecycle Activities Email Alert

You can now receive email notifications when a case is deleted, archived, or restored. This alert keeps relevant stakeholders informed of any lifecycle changes to cases without needing to check the platform manually.

This alert is configurable under Settings → Email Alerts in the Litigation module. Refer to the Email Alerts in the Litigation Module article for full configuration details.

Conclusion

The My Cases section brings together all your tracked litigation in one place, making it straightforward to monitor progress and stay on top of critical hearing dates. Keeping your case list up to date ensures that the filters, reports, and AI tools in the tool work accurately.
