Overview
The "New Cases" section displays legal cases that can be newly registered in various courts. This tool leverages keywords provided by you to identify cases that may be relevant to your organization, whether your company is listed as a petitioner or respondent.
Understanding and Managing Keywords
Keywords are crucial for identifying legal cases associated with your organization. These keywords may include your company name, the names of directors, subsidiaries, or specific terms related to your business operations. For example, if your company is named "ABC Bank," a primary keyword would be "ABC Bank."
Keyword Group Management
Managing your keyword groups effectively is key to maximizing the utility of the "New Cases" section.
Creating Keyword Groups:
Naming: Start by creating a keyword group with a name that clearly reflects your organization or the nature of the cases you are tracking.
Listing Keywords: Include all relevant keywords that could be associated with your organization’s legal interests.
Saving: Once you've listed your keywords, save the keyword group for future reference.
Categories of Keywords:
Included Keywords: In this section, enter the keywords that are directly relevant to your organization.
Excluded Keywords: Here, input any keywords that, while similar to your own, pertain to unrelated cases. This helps filter out irrelevant results.
Monitoring New Cases
Once your keywords are set up, the "New Cases" section will automatically update to display any cases filed within the last 90 days that match your criteria.
Automatic Updates: New cases matching your keywords will appear without any manual input required.
Customization: You can refine your keyword groups based on specific criteria such as case type, party role (petitioner or respondent), geographic location (state or city), and court type.
Managing Newly Registered Cases
In the "New Cases" section, you can review and take action on the cases that appear based on your keyword groups.
Reviewing Cases: Carefully review the listed cases to ensure they are relevant to your organization.
Action Options:
Add: If a case is relevant, you can add it to your tracking list, ensuring you receive updates.
Map: For existing cases already in your "All Cases" section, use the "Map" option to link them to your tracking system. This is particularly useful for cases that are marked as "Manual."
Delete: Remove cases that do not pertain to your interests to maintain a clear and focused list.
Understanding "Manual" Cases: The term "Manual" refers to cases that you have manually added to your tracking list, as opposed to those automatically identified by the system. Detailed information on manual cases can be found in the "My Cases" section.
Additional Features
Two additional features are available in the upper right corner of the "New Cases" page:
