Overview

The search bar in the Litigation Management Tool gives you quick access to Codex AI prompts, your recent searches, and recently viewed cases. It is accessible from any page within the tool and updates automatically as you use it.

Accessing the Search Bar

Click the search bar at the top of the interface.

Codex AI Suggestions

When you open the search bar, a Try Asking Codex section appears with ready-made prompts, including:

  • Upcoming hearings and conflicts

  • Dormant cases and stalled matters

  • My week at a glance

  • Stuck cases and accountability

Click any prompt to run it directly in Codex.

Recent Searches

The search bar displays your most recent searches, such as case numbers, CNR numbers, or court names you have previously looked up. Click any entry to re-run that search instantly without re-entering the criteria.

Recently Viewed

Below recent searches, the search bar shows the last few case records you opened. Each entry displays the case type, case number, and party names. Click any entry to return directly to that case record.

The Global Master Search has been expanded to cover more case categories. Previously, searching from the search bar only returned results from My Cases. It now also searches across New Cases and Litigation Cases, giving you a single place to find any case across your full portfolio without switching between sections.

If a search returns no results, the platform now presents Guided Search (also called Smart Search) options to help you refine your query. Instead of showing an empty results screen, it prompts you to filter by attributes such as Case Number, Court, Case Type, and more.

This makes it easier to locate cases even when an initial search does not match any records, particularly useful when partial information is available or when the exact case number is unknown.

Conclusion

The search bar brings together your Codex prompts, search history, recently viewed cases, and now a smarter, broader search experience in one place. With Guided Search and expanded case coverage across My Cases, New Cases, and Litigation Cases, finding the right record takes fewer steps regardless of how much information you have to hand.
